Cheap Flights to Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach in Florida is known not only for its superb beaches, but also for its stock car racing, and is a favorite haunting place for college students spending their vacation here. Water sports of various types thrive here.

You can charter your own motorboat or a paddleboat, do water skiing, or just relax on the beach, getting a beautiful suntan. Nightlife is always agog, because this is more of a tourist destination, rather than a business town. The only business is the tourist business.

Apart from the beach, when you get a little bored, you can choose several packages that would take you to various parks, ride around various spas and parks, and museums which feature quite a bit of the beach’s history.

And of course you should not miss the Motorsports Museum. As to the weather, it is temperate. Since it’s a beach, obviously, you should be careful about humidity, heat and use protective sun tan cream or moisturizers. The weather is as can be expected in beach areas.

Flights to Daytona Beach are limited, and presently served from either Chicago or from Miami. Presently Delta, Continental and United Airlines provide access to this area. Daytona flights during the off season offer very cheap tickets, and can be combined with accommodation and food, for all budgets. You can choose to arrive at Miami, and then go on to Orlando, (the World Disney Park), and reach Daytona Beach, which is just an hour’s drive away.

Daytona flights are combined with smaller carriers, and hence most major international flights, either use Chicago as a gateway or Miami. Daytona flights from Chicago take about 5 to 6 hours, depending upon the airline. And if you want a real cheap airline ticket, you can expect to spend some time looking up Atlanta city, which is another short gateway to Daytona Beach. From Miami too, you have Daytona flights, via Orlando. You can layover in Orlando, and take a Greyhound luxury bus to reach Daytona Beach.

Flights from Miami also take about 5 hours, much the same as from Chicago. Atlanta is the clearing airport for other Daytona Beach flights for other cities in America, and the rest of the world that use Atlanta as a Gateway. But generally, the flights to Daytona Beach are better by taking flights via Miami, which is a better connected gateway. Most international airlines use Miami as a gateway and Chicago. Dayton Beach flights from Chicago have the best frequency of services.
